• Graduated third in the class of 1829 behind Mason and Lee.
• Served on Topographical duty, August 12, 1829 to June 18, 1832.
• Served in garrison at New Orleans, 1832-1833.
• Resigned as Second Lieutenant, September 15, 1833.
• Chief Engineer, New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain Canal, 1835-36.
• Died January 19, 1836 in New Orleans, age 29.
