TRIVIA: Culbertson resigned on April 15, 1841 to become a Presbyterian Minister. He spent the remainder of his life translating the Bible into Chinese (the explanation is in Korean).

There is a microfilm of a journal in his Cullum file. Tom Nimick is interested in him because of the Chinese connection.
