Henry Coppee, USMA 1845
Born: October 13, 1821, Savannah, Georgia.
Died: March 21, 1895 at Lehigh.
- Spent two years at Yale in the class of 1839.
- Studied civil engineering.
- Employed in the construction of the Georgia Central Railroad, 1837-1840.
- Graduated from West Point, 1845.
- Principal Assistant Professor of geography, history, and ethics, USMA,
January 14, 1850 to June 30, 1855.
