Taught Civil and Military Engineering at USMA, August 28, 1875 to August 29, 1879.

W. H. Bixby, Graphical Method for Finding the Real Roots of Numerical Equations of Any Degree if Containing but One Variable, West Point, 1879. This is not listed in the USMA electronic catalog.  Deals with Lill's Method.

W. H. Bixby, Graphical Computing Table, New York: John Wiley & Sons, 1879. He attributes this table to Lalanne. This must be Léon Louis Chrétien Lalanne (1812-1892) and the source is doubtless Ludwig Friedrich Kämtz (1801-1867), A complete course of meteorology / By L.F. Kaemtz ... With notes by Ch. Martins ... and an appendix, containing the graphic representation of the numerical tables, by L. Lalanne ... Translated, with notes and additions, by C.V.
