Resources Available to the Teacher

There is a great abundance of resources available to the teacher of the history of mathematics. There is so much available that care needs to be taken to read only the very best things and not spend ones time reading out of date or mediocre works. To help you in this quest a number of bibliographies are being provided here.

A Reading List on History of Special Topics in Mathematics has been prepared by Victor Katz.

Here is a bibliography for high school teachers that provides some useful sources at a lower level.

One assignment I give my students is to browse through periodicals and report on some of the historical articles they find. Here is a bibliography of periodicals that I distribute to my students. Perhaps you will be interested in some of the results of this bibliography prepared by students.
