More Survey Textbooks

Ronald Calinger, A Contextual History of Mathematics, Prentice Hall, 1999. ISBN 0-02-318285-7. Reviewed by Eisso Atzema on MAA OnLine. The exercises for the book are available on line.

Roger L. Cooke,  The History of Mathematics: A Brief Course, Wiley, 1997.  MR 2000g:01001 is the only review I have located. But it only quotes from the preface and lists the table of contents. A second edition appeared in 2005. He has a page that has errata, solutions, and other information about this edition, Having solutions on the web is unique among history of mathematics textbooks as far as I know.

Jeff Suzuki, A History of Mathematics, Prentice Hall, 2002.

David Joyce has a long list of textbooks on the history of mathematics, many of which are older. But it is interesting to consult it.
